Huashan teams complete a combined operation for two primary cancers
A Fudan University report describes Huashan pancreatic and thoracic surgery teams working together on a patient with pancreatic-head and lower oesophageal cancers. The 10-hour operation removed both tumours and completed complex digestive reconstruction involving five anastomoses.

Ninth Hospital reimplants an ear after 20 hours detached
Ninth Hospital’s reconstructive team reported a staged “dorsal foot banking and second-stage replantation” plan after a patient’s ear had been completely detached for 20 hours.

Children’s Medical Center completes a single-port robotic mediastinal tumour operation
The hospital reported the country’s first paediatric thoracic operation using a domestically made single-port snake-arm robot for a 12-year-old with a large mediastinal tumour close to the pericardium and major vessels.
